2009 Derby City Classic Heads to Final WeekendThis weekend marks the final of the 2009 Derby City Classic in Indiana as the nine ball division has just over one hundred players left competing and the one-pocket division is down to six players. All will compete this weekend to see who can claim the first place finish. (30/01)
Raj Vannala Wins Tri-State Billiard Stop in New Jersey
On the 24th of this month the Tri-State Billiards Tour stopped in Parsippany, New Jersey for a $500 added B-D handicapped event. Forty seven players entered into the tournament which took place the Comet Billiards. (27/01)
Scuba Diver to Play Billiards under Water
Sabir Bux, an internationally known scuba diver has decided to do something that has never been done before. Bux is planning on playing billiards under water in the sea with Ahsan Ul Haque, a former National Billiard player. (23/01)
Jonathon Hennessee Wins Music City Open
JOB’s was the place to be in Nashville, Tennessee for pool billiards players wanting to compete in the Music City Open. Competition was tough and Jonathon Hennessee was able to outlast the field and beat Chad Vilmont for the first place finish. (20/01)
Mika Immonen Wins Joss Northeast 9-Ball New Jersey Stop
The Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour has completed another stop on the tour and Mika “Iceman” Immonen outlasted the field of thirty seven players to win the first place prize. The competitors played during a snowstorm in Parsippany, New Jersey at Comet Billiards. The tournament was a $2,000 added event. (13/01)
National Billiards League Almost Ready to Start First Season
With the New Year come new changes in the world of billiards. The first season of the National Billiards League should begin very soon as the league is in its final stages of preparations. The excitement has been building for some time and for those who have been anticipating the new league the wait is almost over. (08/01)
Arturo Reyes wins Tri-State Tour Queens Stop
On January 4th the Tri-State Tour stopped in Queens, New York for a $1,000 added B-D handicapped event. The tournament had thirty one participants vying for the title win. Arturo Reyes was able to play well throughout the competition and win the tournament. (06/01)
Mike McGovern Wins Pechauer All-American Tour Stop in Illinois
The latest stop on the Pechauer All-American Tour was in Addison, Illinois at The Pyramid Club. Twenty eight players competed in the double-elimination 8-ball format on 7-foot bar boxes and Mike McGovern outlasted the field to take the win. (02/01)
