After being a fixture in the downtown area of Glens Falls, New York for 15 years, Adirondack billiards will be closing its doors on Wednesday when the business will close for good. While owner of Adirondack Billiards said that they have enjoyed a good run, lagging business and a long commuted have become two deciding factors in the fate of this former hot spot for the areas youth.

Owner Joe Stanislowsky had this to say about the upcoming closure of the billiards hall. "We’re closing because of a combination of factors, We took a hit with the no smoking indoors law and a lot of teenagers that used to come are now into online gambling or playing (pool) at home. There’s just been less people coming -- less business overall."

Parking issues also played a part in the overall decision to close the doors, since the new Wood Theater opened there just isn't enough parking available for both businesses.
