Billiard Table Manufacturer and Retailer Files Chapter 11 Bankruptcy
As the economy worsens, many businesses have to cut corners. Some are laying off workers for short periods of time or an indefinite period. Some even have to close down for good. Connelly Billiards, based in Tucson, Arizona, has had to file for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection this past Tuesday.

The company has had their bankruptcy attorney, Scott Gibson answering any questions the public may have and in an email Gibson stated that the bankruptcy filing will not affect the five retail stores the company owns in the short term, all of which are in Arizona. Gibson did state that there may be some consolidation “after the first of the year similar with what is happening to many retailers.”

Gibson continued in the email saying: "On a national level, it is Connelly's intent to continue with its manufacturing operations and to sell its product on a wholesale basis to its existing, and hopefully growing, network of independent retail outlets.”

Hopefully the ecomony will be back on its feet soon and buisnesses will not have to close or make hard decision to lay people off.
