Bobby Chamberlain Wins Virginia State Amateur Championship
Diamond Billiards in Midlothian, Virginia hosted the Virginia State Amateur Championship this past weekend and early Monday morning Bobby Chamberlain was able to earn the win after outlasting the fifty two other players in the competition.

The event was a $1,500 added A-B event which began during the weekend and ended early on Monday morning. Chamberlain played very well in the tournament and only suffered one loss, which was the match for the hot seat. Sean Sporleder was able to beat Chamberlain and send him over to the one loss side.

Sidney Champion and Sam Monday played well on the one loss side besting Alan Duty and Jonathan Hernandez respectively. Monday and Champion then faced each other, with Champion coming out on top. He worked his way up in the tournament and faced Chamberlain in the semi final match.

Chamberlain won the match and went on to face Sporleder in the finals. The finals were double elimination and Chamberlain won the first set 9-4 and the second set 9-3.
