Cuesport TV Working with Sky Sports for Blackball Championships
Cuesport TV recently announced they have signed a deal between Sky Sports and the European Blackball Association. The European Blackball Pool Championships will be filmed and showcased later this year for fans to enjoy.Ross McInnes of the EBA commented: “Blackball has unfortunately not received the media coverage that it deserves over the last two or three years, but with this coverage on Sky Sports I can say I am delighted that we can finally showcase this amazing game to a strong audience throughout the UK. Blackball is the only 'small-ball' pool game to be officially recognized by the World Pool Association and in turn the International Olympic Committee and deserves its place on our TV screens."
Sky Sports will be filming the final day of the championships and then one hour shows will be created with the highlights from the championships. The shows will be broadcast later this year. The championships will begin on September 27th and will run until October 3rd.
The championships will feature teams from nine European nations and titles will be awarded for Men’s and Women’s Teams, Men and Women’s B Teams, Junior Teams, Senior Teams, Learning disability teams as well as individual awards.
Fans will also be able to watch live coverage of the championships online which will be provided by Cuesport TV. The live footage will be available for viewing on the 29th through the 2nd and a live pass can be purchased for just £2.95.
