Darren Appleton Wins First Division of United States Bar Table Championships
The Sands Regency Hotel and Casino in Reno, Nevada recently hosted the first division of the sixteen annual United States Bar Table Championships. The event lasted one week and $24,500 was added to the prize pool.

Darren “Dynamite” Appleton played well in the competition and won the event after defeating some of the best in the sport. Appleton sent Shane Van Boening home in fifth place after defeating him 7-5. Steve Moore went home in fourth place after losing to Glen Atwell with a score of 7-3.

Atwell moved on the finals after defeating Adam Behnke 7-0. All the while Appleton managed to remain undefeated on the winner’s side. Appleton beat Mark Tadd 7-5, Stan Tourangeau 7-4 before he beat Van Boening. Against Behnke, Appleton won 7-2 and then Appleton faced Atwell in the finals. Appleton played extremely well and won the match 7-1 taking the title.
