Dennis Hatch Wins Joss Tour for Third Consecutive Time
The Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour took place this past weekend at Snooker’s Pool Lounge in Providence, Rhode Island and Dennis “The Hatchetman” Hatch won the event for the third year in a row. With the win, Hatch’s name was added to a banner that displays at the location for becoming the 20th Ocean State 9-Ball Champion.

Eighty players showed up to compete in the $5,000 added event which created a $13,000 purse. Hatch moved through the tournament, knocking out players left and right. Hatch beat Kevin Guimond 9-2, Mike Dechaine 9-7 to get the hot seat. Hatch also knocked out David Grau and Jeremy Sossei.

Grau wanted to face Hatch again so he became the one to beat on the one-loss side. Grau took out Joe Tucker and Ray McNamara with the same score 9-6 and then faced Guimond. At the same time Mike Badstuebner was facing George Sansouci who won the matchup 9-5. Grau beat Guimond 9-7 and moved on to face Sansouci.
