Party Casino’s Mosconi Cup is scheduled to take place at the Hilton Hotel in Portomaso, Malta on December 11th through the 14th. Matchroom Sport announced the first three spots for each team have been filled after the conclusion of the World Cup of Pool.

Johnny Archer will be representing the Americans as the lead player in the tournament and this will be the twelfth time Archer has appeared in the tournament. Representing Team Europe will be Ralf Souquet, who is also in his twelfth year.

Shane Van Boening and Rodney Morris will also be on the American team who both won the World Cup of Pool earlier this month. Morris has won eighteen matches in five appearances and Van Boening debuted in last year’s tournament.

For Team Europe, Mark Gray and Tony Drago will be competing along with Souquet. Drago has won the Parisian EuroTour stop and the Predator International 10-ball championship. Gray was a part of team England in the World Cup and finished in second place.

This is the 15th year the Mosconi Cup has taken place and the American teams have dominated the tournament, with a record of 10-3-1. Three of their defeats came last year to Team Europe when they took the Cup. Later this month the final two spots will be named for both teams.
