Jeff Carter Wins Oshkosh Event
The Varsity Club in Oshkosh, Wisconsin played host to the November 8th Billiard Congress of Wisconsin’s Open 9-Ball tour. Fourteen players competed in the event and it was Jeff Carter who came out on top as the winner.

The event had a $400 added prize purse and Carter fought his way to get to the end. On the top half of the winners’ side Carter beat Tylor Westhuis 8-2, Scott Kugel 8-4 and Willie Munson 8-7. On the bottom half of the bracket Tim Volkman won over Zach Maruardt 8-3, John Ribbich 8-4 and Bob Treffeisen 8-4. Carter and Volkman met to compete for the hot seat, which Carter won 8-6.

Jonathan Demet was over on the one loss side and he earned a win over Marquardt 6-1, Jerry Follis 6-4, Maurice Letourneau 6-4, Munson 6-5, Treffeisen 6-3 and Volkman 6-0 to face Carter in the finals. The finals were double elimination and Demet had to beat Carter twice to win.

Carter gained an early lead 3-0 but it would not be long before Demet would fight back to tie the score 4-4. Carter would then speed ahead and would eventually take the win.
