Larry Faulk Wins Great Southern Billiard Tour Stop in NC
The Great Southern Billiard Tour stopped in Jacksonville, North Carolina to hold a $1,500 added A/B amateur event on October 17th and 18th. The event took place at Fast Freddy’s Billiards and forty competitors showed up to participate. It was Larry Faulk who remained undefeated during the competition to earn the first place win after defeating Ray McGinn in the finals.

Faulk beat JR Poste 10-4 to make the hot seat match where he met Ray McGinn. Faulk earned the final rack to take the hot seat 10-9. Over on the other side Glen Maready beat Donald Arnold to face Vernon Ringold. Don Strickland beat Vernon Rogers to face Mickey Hucks. Maready and Strickland moved on to face Poste and Britt next. Poste knocked out Maready while Britt beat Strickland.

The quarterfinal match saw Poste face Britt who he beat to then face McGinn. McGinn managed to beat Faulk 10-8 so he moved on to face Faulk in the finals. The final match was true double-elimination event and McGinn came up one game short of the win. Faulk earned the $1,000 first place prize while McGinn earned $500 for his efforts.
