Mika Immonen Wins Blatt Billiards Predator 9 ball Tour Second Stop
The second stop of the Blatt Billiards Predator 9 Ball Tour took place on February 28th and continued until March 1st. Comet Billiards in Parsippany, New Jersey hosted the event and one hundred and eight players registered to compete in the tournament. Mika Immonen managed to outlast the field in the open division and take the first place prize. Tony Robles and Ignacio Chavez played well throughout the tournament and it was only a matter of time before they would face each other. Chavez won over Frankie Hernandez 9-6 while Robles beat George Sansouci 9-6 before they faced each other.
Chavez was down early in the match with a score of 4-2 but Chavez managed to pick up steam and take the match 9-6. Robles then moved to the one loss side and would face the winner of the Immonen and Jorge Rodriguez match.
Immonen played well and on the second day he defeated Sean Morgan 9-2, Al Lapena 9-7, Frankie Hernandez 9-0 and then faced Jorge Rodriguez who he beat 9-3. Immonen then faced Robles in the semifinals and won the match quickly with a score of 9-3. Immonen then faced Chavez in the finals and took a massive lead and won the match up 11-4.
