Mike McGovern Wins Pechauer All-American Tour Stop in Illinois
The latest stop on the Pechauer All-American Tour was in Addison, Illinois at The Pyramid Club. Twenty eight players competed in the double-elimination 8-ball format on 7-foot bar boxes and Mike McGovern outlasted the field to take the win.

Mike knocked out quite a few players to make it to the finals. He beat John Carvell 5-0, Jack Wu 5-3, Jeff Mohl 5-3, Ernesto Contreras 5-1 and Ricky Weir 5-0. Weir had played well earlier in the day beating Areil DiAngeles 5-0, Greg Spencer 5-2, Jim Engels 5-3 and Tony Gong 5-4 before being bested by Mike.

On the B-side Jim Engels beat Mike Monegato while Eddie Balderas knocked out Keith Schneiderman. Balderas moved on to lose to Tony gong 5-3. Gong went on to beat Jim Engels, knocking him out in fourth place, working his way to the title shot. Gong would go no further though when Weir beat him 5-4 knocking Gong out in third.

Mike McGovern would then face Weir in the finals and the competition would be fierce. McGovern would have the upper hand and win the match 5-3.
