The Women’s Professional Billiard Tour San Diego Classic took place this past week with stiff competition. After all the competitors had been knocked out it was down to Monica Webb and Ga Young Kim. Webb would prove her talent and take the win, making it her second WPBA title for 2009.

When semifinal play began, Webb took the lead over Jeanette Lee and Lee just could not manage to catch up. Webb won the match up and secured a place in the finals. The second semifinal match began soon after between Kim and Gerda Hofstatter. The race was tight but Kim took an early lead and never let up. Kim took the match up 7-5 and moved to the finals to face Webb.

Kim took an early lead yet again taking the first two racks. Webb would take the next but Kim would follow up with two more making the score 4-1. But Webb was able to fight back and take the match from Kim with a score of 7-5. This was Webb’s second WPBA title for the year.
