National Billiards League Almost Ready to Start First Season
With the New Year come new changes in the world of billiards. The first season of the National Billiards League should begin very soon as the league is in its final stages of preparations. The excitement has been building for some time and for those who have been anticipating the new league the wait is almost over. The National Billiards League (NBL) will have eight teams of six players that will compete in singles, doubles, team and trick shot competitions. Big name players to be a part of the league are Efren Reyes, Francisco Bustamante, Ronnie Alcano, Alex Pagulayan and Dennis Orcollo.
Solar Sports will be the broadcast partner for the NBL and the leagues home will be the AMF-Puyat Bowling Inn and Billiards center in Malate, Manila. The venue is currently being renovated for P2.5million to create a state of the art venue for the league.
Co-founder of the Billiards Managers and Players Association of the Philippines Perry Mariano, commented on the league: “We are all excited. The players, the managers, and the rest of the billiards community are all ecstatic to see the birth of the league that would elevate the sport of billiards to new heights.”
