It was recently announced that Ozone Billiards will be the presenting sponsor for the Association of College Unions International (ACUI) 2009 National Colligate 9-Ball Championship. Ozone will help students that play billiards participate in national tournaments as well as regional.

Students at more than six hundred colleges and universities will be able to participate and possibly become billiard champions. Five different scholarships are available and will be given through the sponsorship.

Shawn Gargano, the President of Ozone Billiards commented:”Once we heard that ACUI needed a sponsor, we felt it was our responsibility to support them as one of the leaders in the billiards industry. We believe that these young adults are not only the future for billiards, but also the future of our country. Through our sponsorship, we are able to foster in them a passion for billiards while helping them to continue their education.”

Regional recreation tournaments will be hosted by the ACUI the last two weeks of February. 9-ball billiards will be featured and will take place in fourteen locations in the US. Players must qualify first before they can participate.
