Pankaj Advani Wins Asian Games Billiards Title
Pakaj Advani, a professional billiards player, has been subject to large amounts of praise from the Indian media for becoming the Asian Games Billiards champion. Advani became the second Indian to ever win the world title.

Advani is the amateur world, national and continental champion and he had to face Mike Russell, the nine-time winner, to earn the title. Advani was able to win the five hour final with a score of 2031-1253. The event was concluded in Leeds this past Sunday.

Advani is only twenty four but he has a long history in the snooker and billiards sport. Advani became the world amateur snooker champion in 2003 and he has also won the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, which is the highest sports prize in India.

The Indian media has covered the story extensively, posting pictures and articles of Advani all over the front pages of their newspapers. The country is very proud of their billiards champion!
