The Blaze 9-Ball Tour’s Annual NYC Championships were held on August 24th and the players really came out to win. Several of the sixty one pool stars showed up to do their very best and proved they could outlast the other competitors. A few players even bested several in row to move on in the competition. The event was held in Brooklyn, New York at Skyline Billiards.

Many well known players including: Alan Rolan, Manny Chau, Mike Davis, Shaun Wilkie and Johnny Archer showed up to try and claim the title. Mika Immonen, proved he came to win as he bested half of the bracket with wins over Alex Gilvarg, Ray Lee, Mhet Vergara, Francisco Bustamante and Mike Davis. Only Bustamante and Davis were able to get close to beating Immonen.

Chau was able to beat Areil Rivera, Kevin Coyle, Mike Fingers, Mike Dechaine and Chavez. Immomen and Chau would then meet and play to see who would be moving on. Chau won the match 9-5 sending Immonen to the semi final. Immonen would then play Bustamante in the semi-finals and would go down 7-1. Bustamante then played Chau in the last match and managed to break Chau’s winning streak. Bustamante would win the match 9-4.
