Efren Reyes and Earl Strickland have been rivals for a long time in the billiards game. It was recently announced by Taylor Road Productions that the two will be competing in a $5,000 challenge match on September 13th at 8pm. the match is the first of a series of challenges to take place with the Galveston World Classic.

The format of the challenge will be a ten-ball race to fifteen match with the winner breaking. The other challenges will feature top billiards professionals competing during the evenings of the Galveston World Classic. The other challenges will be announced in the near future.

The event website will stream the entire Galveston World Classic event live and viewers will be able to watch as the action unfolds. The footage will air throughout Asia with eleven hours of footage airing on the ESPN Star channel.

Louie Vickio of Taylor Road Productions commented: “I think that this is going to be a great match. What more can the spectators ask for than to be guaranteed to see the greatest players on earth pitted against each other in battle. I don’t know who is going to win, but I can say that it is going to be a match nobody is going to want to miss.”
