Scott Frost Wins Desert Classic Tour Stop
This past weekend Bullshooters in Phoenix, Arizona hosted a Desert Classic Tour event which saw fifty players competing for the top prize. The event was a $1,000 added 8 ball match and Scott Frost remained undefeated to win the first place prize. Frost was able to beat Dennis Orender 7-3 and then Gus Bresino 7-1. Bresino had moved to face Frost after defeating Denny Holmes 7-1. Over on the one loss side, Mitch Ellerman was working his way to the finals.
Ellerman defeated John Smith 6-1, Muaz Ashad and then Holmes 7-0. Pete Lohtka defeated Mike Hancock, Nick DeLeon and Orender. Lohtka then faced Ellerman who won the match up 7-0. Ellerman then faced Bresino who really wanted to make it to the finals to face Frost again. That would never happen as Ellerman won the match up and moved on to the finals.
Unfortunately for Ellerman, Frost was on a roll and he won the first seven frames in just nineteen minutes. Ellerman then fought back and won three just to be match back by Frost with one win. Just a short time later Frost got the rest of his wins to take the first place title.
