Scuba Diver to Play Billiards under Water
Sabir Bux, an internationally known scuba diver has decided to do something that has never been done before. Bux is planning on playing billiards under water in the sea with Ahsan Ul Haque, a former National Billiard player. Bux plans to dive in the Bay of Bengal off Gopalpur coast near Chhatrapur by the end of February or first of March. Haque, who was named the player of the Decade in 2008, has agreed to embark on the endeavor.
If the plan is executed both men will most likely be listed in the Guinness Book of World Record. Bux has been teaching Haque to scuba dive while Haque has been teaching Bux the game of billiards. Haque is currently working at the National Aluminum Company and is a 10 time state snooker champion and an 11 time state billiard champion, so Bux is learning from one of the best.
A special metal board has been created for the match that is 6 x 4 feet long. The pair will practice on the board for 15 to 20 days before the match takes place. Bux has stated that he came across a crystal sand patch while diving in the Bay of Bengal and decided it was the perfect place to play the game as it would be easy to place the table on the sands surface.
Bux commented on the match: ''I have planned to play a demonstration match of 30 minutes with Haque in the Bhubaneswar swimming pool under 9 feet water and later at Mahanadi before playing with Haque in the Bay of Bengal. ''
