Tommy Kennedy Wins Southeast Open 9-Ball Tour Stop
The J. Pechauer Southeast Open 9-Ball Tour stopped in savannah, Georgia on September 26th to hold a two day billiards tournament. This was the second stop of the season and the $1,500 added event was hosted by Southside Billiard Club. Tommy Kennedy is the tour director and he competed in this event as well. Kennedy was able to defeat Shawn “Big Bubba” Putnam in the finals to earn the first place win of the tour stop. Kennedy played a strong game and was able to remain undefeated throughout the event.
Kennedy would face Mike Staubes in the hot seat match and send Staubes to the one loss side after winning the match 9-2. Staubes would then face Putnam who had just defeated J.R. Rossman. Putnam had trouble with Staubes but managed to win the match in the end to face Kennedy. Kennedy was able to win the finals with a score of 11-9.
