Billiards Enthusiasts will be able to see a true player work their craft this weekend as Nick Varner performs a Trick Shot Exhibition at Main Street Billiards in Mesa, Arizona. Varner is an eight time world champion and an inductee into the Billiards Congress of America’s Hall of Fame. The performance will take place on December 27th.

Varner is known as the ‘Kentucky Colonel’ and is the only player ever to be named World Champion in five different pool games. Those included are One Pocket, 9-Ball and Straight Pool. The event will begin at 7pm on Saturday and the public is invited to attend.

During the event, Main Street Billiards will have twenty five tables available for free pool. So those who like to play and want to watch the action of a legend should check it out.

The owner of Main Street Billiards, Thor Skogan Jr, commented: “Nick Varner is a celebrity to those who follow pool, and for those who don’t, it’s just amazing to see the shots he can make. We’re offering free pool as a Christmas present to our patrons and to celebrate the opening of the new light rail station across the street. It’s been a long time coming and we’re excited to see it come to fruition.”
