Viking Cue Announces New Amateur-Advanced Division
The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour recently announced they have created a new division for their tour. The Amateur-Advanced Division was created to pull together amateur players and advanced players to help guide each player toward tournament competition. The goal of the group is to help the players become professionals in the sport of billiards.

There are a few Qualifications that players must have and also several Disqualifications exist
that may hinder players from joining the division. The Disqualifications are:

1. If a player has ever won four or more Open Regional Tour Events in the last five years or any professional events in the last ten years, they do not qualify.
2. If a player has won or placed 2nd or 3rd in any $10,000 added or more tournaments in the last five years, they do not qualify.
3. If a player has twelve or more 2nd, 3rd or 4th place finishes in open regional tour events, they do not qualify.
4. If a player has won ten or more amateur events on any other amateur tours (combined) not including the Viking Cue Amateur 9-Ball tour, they do not qualify.
5. If a player has ever been considered a professional in the sport, they do not qualify.
6. If the player is known as a Road Player with professional skills, do not qualify, even if the player has never competed in any professional events.

Players who meet the disqualifications can play in the Viking Cue Open 9-Ball Tour. Players, who can qualify for the Amateur-Advanced Division, may or may not play according to the decision of the director at the event or the Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour office staff.

Players who are current members will be disqualified from the Amateur –Advanced 9-Ball tour if they meet any of the above Disqualifications. The tour card status of that player will then be turned from Amateur Advanced to Open Tour. Amateur-Advanced players can continue on the Amateur-Advanced tour until they win 6 Viking Cue Amateur-Advanced 9-Ball events or place in the top four places of a Viking Cue Amateur-Advanced 9-Ball Tour twelve times. When either of these occurs, that player will advance to the Open Tour.
