The 2009 Diamond World Summit of Pool dates have been announced by the United States Professional Pool players Association (UPA). The event is scheduled to take place in June 2009 at the Riviera Hotel and casino in Las Vegas.

The American Cue Sports Alliance Nationals will be hosting the event for their members as well as the pros attending the World Summit event. The event will be a $20,000 guaranteed professional nine-ball championship and many of the top players are expected to attend.

Players will meet on the 2nd of June in a mixer and then play will kick off the next day at 10 am. Play will continue until the 6th when the semi-finals and final play will take place. Former UPA President and Founder of the World Summit of Pool, Robert Lipson commented: "The World Summit of Pool has always been one of our premier events and I'm personally excited about everyone coming together to make it happen."
